SEATING

So, what is the "Muskoka Circle" and why is it so important?

In simple terms it is six chairs in a circle, with 2 metres between each chair.  It is the basis of safe seating and responsible gathering.

The "Muskoka Circle" is great because it is an arrangement everyone is familiar/comfortable with (sitting around a fire/table).  If you had outside parties before COVID, you probably sat in a "Muskoka Circle" before (whether with Muskoka chairs or a different kind of chair).

The six person "Muskoka Circle" allows for 2 metres between each person, gives them a place for their drink and allows everyone in the circle to be able to talk to each other.

Most importantly, if you have more than six people over, you can set up multiple circles, so it works for more people.

It also works for maintaining safe distancing when people move around from circle to circle.  With multiple "Muskoka Circles" set up, people can trade places safely allowing more socializing.

A big plus, it only takes a minute to set up, and people are used to it.

It works!
