First things first:

If you are not yet vaccinated, get vaccinated.

Then, vaccinated or not,
c
lick here to see what restrictions are in place in your province or region (the rise of the Delta variant has caused some areas to reintroduce restrictions - it is important for you to stay up to date).

Most importantly, don't let your guard down, even if you are vaccinated.  With fall weather moving people indoors it is still vitally important to gather responsibly.  Take a minute to go through the do's and don'ts below.

The good news is, in most areas of the country you can actually get together and gather with friends, as long as you continue do it responsibly.

DO'S & DON'TS

DO'S AND DON'TS

Gathering responsibly in a pandemic during the fall is not rocket science.  It's common sense.  Here are a couple of simple do's and don'ts that can make a big difference in helping to stop the spread, while still allowing you to have a good time.

DO: TAKE IT OUTSIDE

It's really simple.  Outside good, inside bad.

If you do nothing else this fall, this is the one thing you should do.  If you are going to gather, gather outside.  It is still the best option.  Get creative and adapt to the cooler fall weather.

If you are gathering indoors - make sure you are aware of any gathering restrictions in your province/region.  Don't exceed the limits.  It is still just not worth the risk.

DO: KEEP IT SMALL

Also, really simple.  Small gatherings good, big gatherings bad.

If you do only one other thing this fall, this is it.  Don't plan, or attend a gathering with more people than the gathering limit in your province/region allows.

More people means more risk.

DON'T: FORGET THE BASICS

Again, really simple. Doing these things good, not doing bad.

Not feeling well? Stay home. Obvious but worth repeating.

Even when gathering outside, if you are in a crowd, wear a mask.

DON'T: SHARE

By anything, we mean anything.  Don't share food, drinks, cigarettes, tokes, vapes, snacks, anything.

Sharing anything risks sharing COVID-19.  Sharing bad, not sharing good.
